At Buon Gusto, we’re proud to be a locally owned and operated restaurant that values the rich community we are a part of. Our commitment to supporting local runs deep. We partner with local food suppliers and artisans to bring the freshest ingredients to your table. While we stay true to the soul of Italian cuisine, using authentic Italian ingredients to preserve its essence, we also celebrate Guelph and Ontario’s rich bounty in our offerings whenever possible.
Nearly everything we serve is made in-house, from our signature pizza dough and focaccia to handmade pastas, fresh burrata, and savoury meatballs. Every week, our talented team of chefs creates exciting daily features, ensuring there’s always something new to discover.
To complement your meal, our thoughtful wine selections, craft cocktails, and seasonal specialties are crafted to pair with our menu.

Dine With Us
Buon Gusto is situated in the heart of downtown Guelph, in the historic Gummer building. This beautiful stone building sits over St. George’s Square, right in the centre of town. Our location is a perfect stop on a day trip or night out in Guelph. During the spring, we construct our wood patio in the plaza of the restaurant. Trees and planters offer a bit of shade and seclusion for our patrons, but the patio is also open to enjoy the energy and events of the downtown streets. The patio is open daily, as long as the weather allows.

As a locally owned business, our community is important to us. Buon Gusto supports local food suppliers and providers. We cook heavily with genuine Italian ingredients to maintain the authenticity of our cuisine, however we feature drinks and ingredients from Guelph and Ontario producers whenever possible. We proudly support numerous local charities and events both large and small on an ongoing basis.
